Lean Practice Becomes a B-Corp

We are pleased to announce that Lean Practice is now a B-corp certified company.

Since 2016 we have been on a journey to conduct business in a better way and use our business as a platform for doing good. In 2016 we became a member of 1% for the planet, where we donate 1% of our total revenue to non-profits fighting climate change. 

Since 2019 we have been carbon neutral and from November 2021 we are now a climate positive workforce through parenting with Ecologi. 

What is a B Corp?

B Corp Certification is a designation that a business is meeting high standards of verified performance, accountability and transparency on factors from employee benefits and charitable giving to supply chain practices and input materials.

Becoming a B-Corp

We chose to become B-corp because we envision a global economy that uses business as a force for good.

The journey to becoming a B-Corp certified company was spread over two years. We would like to pay a massive thank you to our clients during this period who made the work we do, the way we do it, possible.  Princes Foods, Kier Construction, Westrock Packaging, Portals Papers, GHD (this is a civil engineering company based in Sydney)  TT Electronics, Systra Ltd, 

Last week we got the news that we were successful. 

Being certified holds us to the highest standards to ensure we are doing good for people and planet whilst making a profit. Our cause of helping businesses increase productivity only enhances this pledge, the more we do with less resources is better for people, planet and profit. 

During the assessment process, we became aware of the lack of diversity within consulting especially in the areas of Lean and Productivity. We aim to change that as well as providing free content to help all use best practices to minimise their carbon impact within their businesses. 

Why did we take the journey?

"Its easy to say you are going to do a lot of things. Greenwashing is everywhere. The great thing is this greenwashing is raising awareness so I'm not against it however I like my fellow B-Corp community hold myself and the people I work with too higher standards. You can't get higher than being certified as a B-Corp who hold the highest standard for the sustainable ways to run a business for people, planet and profit. Collectively we can get back to doing business for the good of others and our planet."
